Privacy and DNS essentials included

Eligible extensions include free domain privacy. Domains using Namecheap DNS can manage records and use DNSSEC where supported. You can still host your website on your own VPS; the registrar and hosting provider do not have to match.

Budget for year two as well

For a lasting brand, compare renewal prices before choosing. Household limits, registration eligibility and the two-year minimum for .ai can all affect the amount you pay.

Does buying a domain create a website?

A domain is the address. You still need website content and hosting, then DNS records to point the domain to the server.
