The Edifier MR4 is a pair of powered 2.0 bookshelf speakers with built-in amplification, allowing you to plug straight into a PC without buying an external amplifier. Separating the left and right speakers across your desk creates a well-defined stereo image ideal for near-field listening during work and study.

Rather than chasing raw wattage specs, properly spacing the two speakers on your desk and angling them toward your ears yields immediate improvements in imaging and soundstage. Tuned for near-field listening, the MR4 resolves vocals and instruments clearly, though its compact size cannot deliver the chest-thumping impact of a dedicated subwoofer.
Analog Inputs and Practical Boundaries
This standard version of the MR4 relies entirely on analog wired connections, offering professional balanced TRS and standard RCA ports on the back, plus a front AUX input for audio interfaces and PCs. Be sure your desktop allows for neat cabling, as this baseline model does not support Bluetooth wireless streaming.
